About eduMe
eduMe is the frontline enablement platform that helps organisations achieve consistent execution at scale. We go beyond training to ensure frontline teams are ready for their role, supported during real work, guided at moments of risk, and aligned to standard ways of working. We're trusted by global brands to bring the latest AI developments directly to their frontline. eduMe is backed by Workday and is a certified Workday Platinum Partner.
We're looking for a People & Operations Lead to join eduMe on a fixed-term basis to provide maternity cover. As a lean, 20-person company across the UK and US, you'll own the day-to-day People and Operations function, working with our CEO and external Finance partners to keep everything running smoothly. This role would suit an experienced HR or People generalist who enjoys working autonomously in a broad, hands-on role, and could also be a great opportunity for someone ready to take the next step into leading a standalone People & Ops function.
You'll have ownership of the entire People and Operations function in a collaborative, supportive company, with the opportunity to work across everything from employee experience and HR to operations, governance and office management. You'll benefit from a comprehensive handover with the current People & Operations Lead before they begin maternity leave, giving you the context and confidence to take ownership from day one.
eduMe generally works a hybrid pattern, spending Wednesdays and Thursdays together in our London office and the remainder of the week working remotely. For this role, we'd ask you to spend at least one day per week in our London office (ideally Wednesdays), with the remainder working remotely.
What you'll do
People & HR
- Act as the first point of contact for all employee queries across the UK and US entities - contracts, benefits, leave, payroll queries, and general people questions
- Handle day-to-day employment matters across the UK and US, following established company processes and escalating complex or high-risk issues where appropriate
- Manage employee lifecycle; onboarding and offboarding, contract changes, right-to-work checks, and HRIS record-keeping
- Work closely with line managers, acting as their trusted People partner on day-to-day employee matters, including performance management, promotions, salary changes, employee relations, organisational changes and associated documentation
- Support any employee relations issues that arise (e.g. performance, grievance, disciplinary) with appropriate process and documentation
- Liaise with our payroll providers (UK and US) to process any changes, corrections, or new starters/leavers each cycle
- Keep policies and the employee handbook up to date (reactive updates as needed) and ensure compliance with any UK/US regulatory changes during the cover period
- Maintain HR systems and employee data, ensuring records remain accurate and up to date
- Support company governance and compliance administration, including maintaining People records and assisting with ad hoc board or investor requests where they relate to People or Operations
- Administer employee benefits across the UK and US, working with external providers to process changes and annual renewals
- Manage any UK sponsor licence obligations for sponsored employees

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Operations & Facilities Management
- Keep the London office stocked and ticking over (weekly shop, handling facilities issues as they arise)
- Coordinate any office-related events or team socials (light touch, as capacity allows)
- Own general company operations admin - supplier and vendor queries, subscriptions, and ad hoc requests from the CEO or wider team
- Support our Finance partners with operational administration where People, Finance and Operations overlap, including expense processes, invoicing queries, benefits billing, accounts payable and other ad hoc support
- Manage the insurance renewal cycle, working with our brokers
