A leading organisation at the forefront of public sector innovation, our client is seeking a passionate People and Organisational Development Lead to drive strategic HR initiatives and shape the organisation's future talent landscape. About you
- Significant experience in HR, organisational development or learning & development within a complex environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with proven ability to develop strategic plans
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including working with trade unions and external partners
- Knowledge of HR policies, legislative requirements, and best practice standards
- Ability to develop and manage budgets and report on financial performance
- Effective communicator, capable of presenting reports to senior leadership

What you'll do
- Lead the organisation's People and Organisational Development function, setting strategic priorities
- Manage the wider team, providing guidance, oversight, and performance management
- Drive the development of a robust succession planning framework for critical roles
- Manage the HR budgets, including forecasting, monitoring, and reporting
- Support the embedding and review of HR policies, maintaining compliance and supporting change management
- Prepare strategic reports and recommendations for senior leadership and governance bodies
- Build effective relationships with internal teams and trade unions
