What to Expect

As People Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring all people-related data is entered and maintained flawlessly on our systems, ensuring a leading administration service.

This is an incredibly fast-paced role that will make you the first point of contact for all employee HR queries, including benefit queries, resolving issues, or escalating to the People Advisor or People Business Partner.

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for ensuring that the monthly payroll is completed accurately and on time – payroll data is entered into SAP correctly and checked before payroll submission
  • Using strong Excel skills to prepare overtime data for payroll submission – checking eligibility for overtime
  • Support governance around payroll processes, challenging anything that does not look correct
  • Ensure all documentation, filing, and related systems and trackers are always up to date
  • Responsible for preparing and administering written offers / contracts / new starter documentation / resignation letters, i.e. employee lifecycle communications
  • Request references for all new starters and monitor, responding to reference requests for ex-employees
  • Immigration – support with new visa / visa renewal administration & right to work checks
  • Support the People Advisor or People Business Partners in providing a right first time, flawless administration service, which may include note-taking for meetings
  • Assist the People Advisor in monitoring attendance and identifying attendance concerns. Input sickness/absence for the company where managers have not
  • Responsible for the coordination of all Maternity/Paternity (or any other family) leave

What You'll Bring

Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Strong Excel skills, including advanced formula skills and data manipulation
  • Experience of payroll checks and processing is essential
  • Basic payroll knowledge required
  • Excellent organization skills and the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage a demanding workload on a daily basis
  • High attention to detail and accuracy of information
  • Experience within a fast-paced and busy HR function preferable
  • SAP HCM (or similar system) experience is desirable but not essential
  • Effective communication skills written and verbal to all levels of employees

  • Trustworthy and experienced in handling confidential information
  • High degree of commitment and willingness to learn
  • Confident and resilient, with a can-do outlook that is maintained when under pressure
