Description

At DAC Beachcroft, our people are central to our success. As a People Business Partner, you'll work closely with senior leaders to shape and deliver people strategies that support business growth, performance and future capability.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and ambitious People team, partnering with stakeholders across the business to drive strategic initiatives, influence key decisions and create meaningful impact through our people.

We're looking for someone who is commercially minded, confident in building relationships at all levels and passionate about helping leaders navigate complex people challenges whilst delivering an exceptional colleague experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders to understand business priorities and ensure people strategies and initiatives support wider business objectives.
  • Act as a trusted adviser, providing constructive challenge and influencing key business decisions to drive effective people outcomes.
  • Use people data, insight and workforce trends to identify opportunities, risks and areas for improvement, implementing practical solutions that enhance performance and engagement.
  • Lead and support strategic people initiatives including talent planning, succession planning, organisational development and workforce planning.
  • Identify and develop high-potential talent, ensuring future capability and leadership pipelines are in place to support business growth.
  • Lead the people aspects of change programmes, business transformation initiatives and organisational projects, ensuring successful delivery and colleague engagement throughout.
  • Coach, support and challenge leaders in the effective management of their teams, building leadership capability whilst ensuring a consistent and pragmatic approach to people matters.
  • Provide expert guidance on complex people issues, balancing commercial objectives with organisational risk and best practice.
  • Support the attraction, development and retention of talent, helping to create an environment where individuals and teams can thrive.

Firm Wide

  • Understand and operate effectively within an international professional services environment, working collaboratively across offices, teams and functions.
  • Act in the best interests of the firm, demonstrating sound judgement and a commercial mindset in all decision-making.
  • Operate within a regulated environment, ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures and data security requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to identify, manage and mitigate organisational and commercial risks.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Previous experience operating at People Business Partner level, ideally within a professional services, legal, financial services or other complex commercial environment.
  • A proven ability to influence, coach and challenge senior stakeholders, building trusted relationships whilst maintaining an independent and commercially focused perspective.
  • Demonstrable experience leading strategic people initiatives, including talent management, succession planning, workforce planning, organisational development or change programmes.
  • Strong commercial awareness, with an understanding of how people strategies contribute to business performance and growth.
  • Sound employment law knowledge and experience applying this pragmatically to support business decision-making.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using people data and insight to identify trends, inform decisions and drive action.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to adapt style and approach to different audiences.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach, balancing strategic thinking with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and deliver.
  • Well organised, resilient and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys working as part of a supportive, high-performing People function.
