People Business Partner

About the Role

As a People Business Partner, you will play a key role in delivering a proactive, professional and customer-focused people service across Hartpury. You will provide expert advice, insight and practical solutions that help deliver organisational priorities and a positive employee experience. Contributing to creating a respectful, inclusive and high-performing workplace where colleagues can develop and succeed.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Partnering with managers and leaders to provide expert advice across the employee lifecycle
  • Providing guidance on employee relations matters and helping managers address workplace issues fairly, consistently and effectively
  • Contributing to workforce planning, recruitment, organisational change and talent development activities
  • Using people data and workforce insight to identify trends, inform planning and improve outcomes
  • Promoting fair and inclusive people practices that support equality, diversity, wellbeing and engagement
  • Delivering initiatives aligned with Hartpury's People Strategy and Hartpury 2030 ambitions
  • Managing and contributing to People projects that enhance services and the employee experience
  • Working with colleagues across the organisation to review and improve processes, systems and ways of working
  • Ensuring people practices are aligned with employment legislation and safeguarding requirements
  • Building management capability through advice, coaching and professional guidance

About You

  • Experience of working in a generalist HR advisory or Business Partnering role
  • Strong employee relations knowledge and experience of managing a broad range of people matters
  • The ability to build good working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, influencing and relationship building skills with a practical and solutions-focused approach to resolving challenges
  • Experience of organisational change, employee engagement and workforce planning activities
  • The ability to interpret data, identify themes and make informed recommendations
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and service excellence
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and best practice
  • A CIPD qualification (or equivalent professional experience) and a commitment to continuing professional development
