Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused People Business Partner to join our team on a fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover for 12 months. Supporting our FMN business unit and central support functions, this role offers the opportunity to influence both strategic and operational people agendas while partnering with a diverse range of stakeholders across our organisation.

The successful candidate will be a confident and credible HR professional who can quickly establish strong working relationships, operate autonomously, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. You will be equally comfortable managing complex employee relations matters, supporting organisational change, and partnering with senior leaders to deliver people strategies that drive performance, engagement, and business success.

This role would suit someone who thrives on variety, can effectively balance changing priorities, and is passionate about delivering pragmatic, commercially minded people solutions that add real value.

Other Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Build trusted relationships with senior leaders, acting as a strategic partner and providing pragmatic people solutions aligned with business objectives and the wider People strategy.
  • Partner with managers to understand workforce challenges, organisational priorities, and future capability needs, translating these into effective people plans.
  • Lead people initiatives across the employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, recruitment, performance, talent, succession, engagement, and retention.
  • Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, ensuring commercially balanced and legally compliant outcomes.
  • Coach and challenge managers to strengthen people management capability, accountability, and consistency.
  • Use people data and insights to identify trends, anticipate risks and opportunities, and inform strategic workforce decisions.
  • Lead and support organisational change initiatives, including restructures, TUPE, organisational design, culture, and DE&I programmes, while effectively managing competing priorities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
