Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused People Business Partner to join our team on a fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover for 12 months. Supporting our FMN business unit and central support functions, this role offers the opportunity to influence both strategic and operational people agendas while partnering with a diverse range of stakeholders across our organisation.

The successful candidate will be a confident and credible HR professional who can quickly establish strong working relationships, operate autonomously, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. You will be equally comfortable managing complex employee relations matters, supporting organisational change, and partnering with senior leaders to deliver people strategies that drive performance, engagement, and business success.

This role would suit someone who thrives on variety, can effectively balance changing priorities, and is passionate about delivering pragmatic, commercially minded people solutions that add real value.

Other Key Responsibilities Include:

• Build trusted and credible relationships with senior leaders across FMN and central support functions, providing pragmatic people solutions that support business objectives and enable organisational performance.
• Act as a strategic partner and trusted adviser, identifying people-related risks, opportunities, and trends, and translating these into practical actions that support both local business needs and the wider People strategy.
• Operate confidently in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities and making informed decisions with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of professional judgement.
• Collaborate with managers and stakeholders to understand workforce challenges, organisational requirements, and future capability needs, developing and implementing effective people plans to address these.
• Lead the delivery of people initiatives across the full employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, organisational design, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, talent development, succession planning, engagement, and retention.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on complex employee relations matters, ensuring commercially balanced and legally compliant outcomes.
• Coach, challenge, and support managers to develop their people management capability, driving accountability, consistency, and best practice across all aspects of people management.
• Analyse and interpret people data, trends, and insights to inform decision-making, identify areas for improvement, and support strategic workforce planning.
• Lead and support business change projects, including restructures, TUPE transfers, organisational design, cultural initiatives, and diversity, equity, and inclusion programmes.
• Take ownership for delivering outcomes, proactively managing competing demands, and responding effectively to changing business priorities.
• Anticipate emerging people issues and organisational trends, ensuring managers are equipped to respond effectively and that appropriate interventions are implemented at the right time.
• Support broader People and business initiatives as required, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute across a range of activities in line with business needs.
