Why This Role is Exciting

As the People Business Partner for EMEA and APAC at Optro, you will lead our regional people strategy and shape the employee experience across these locations. This role is a perfect fit for a proactive and resourceful individual who is excited to help drive the company's global expansion by building new processes from the ground up while also serving as a key partner and coach to leaders and employees across every department.

Please note: This is a hybrid position based in London and will require travel to the office two times per week. There will also be occasional business travel for meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with and coach leaders at all levels on a wide range of people processes, including performance reviews, compensation planning, team development, and organisational design
  • Advise and coach leaders on managing complex employee relations issues, including performance management, investigations, and grievances
  • Provide expertise on local labor law and compliance across EMEA and APAC, ensuring the company operates in a compliant manner
  • Support global expansion within EMEA and APAC through entity creation and PEOs
  • In partnership with teams within the People organisation, support the development and implementation of foundational people policies, processes, and programs for the EMEA and APAC regions
  • Collaborate closely with US-based People Business Partners and leaders to ensure a cohesive and consistent global people strategy
  • Leverage data and analytics to influence business strategy and inform decision-making

Attributes for a Successful Candidate

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience as a People Business Partner, preferably in the SaaS industry
  • Deep knowledge of labor law in EMEA and APAC and experience with global expansion, including entity creation
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment and operating in a matrixed organisation serving multiple geographies, including the UK, Germany, Poland, and Singapore
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership
  • Resourceful, comfortable with ambiguity, and skilled at balancing multiple competing priorities
  • Multi-lingual is a plus
