People Change Manager
Fixed Term Contract (6-9 Months)
Home Based with Nationwide Travel (1-2 days per week)

Salary: Up to £45,000
We are seeking an experienced People Change Manager to support the delivery of a significant organisational change programme across a multi-site UK operation.
This is a highly visible role that will play a critical part in ensuring change is delivered professionally, compliantly, and with compassion. Working closely with operational leaders and the wider People team, you will lead and coordinate people-related activities associated with organisational restructuring, site closures, redeployment programmes, and TUPE transfers.
This role would suit a hands-on HR professional who is comfortable managing complex employee relations processes, engaging with stakeholders at all levels, and supporting employees through periods of change.
The role is home-based and will require regular travel across the UK, typically 1-2 days per week.
Responsibilities
Organisational Change & Consultation
- Lead and coordinate people activities associated with restructuring, site closures, and organisational change projects.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and action trackers to ensure activity is delivered effectively and on schedule.
- Support and facilitate individual and collective consultation processes.
- Conduct employee consultation meetings and provide guidance to operational leaders throughout the process.
- Prepare and manage all associated documentation including consultation materials, correspondence, meeting records, and outcome communications.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, internal policies, and best practice throughout change processes.
- Escalate complex or high-risk cases appropriately while providing pragmatic solutions wherever possible.

Redeployment & Retention
- Identify and coordinate suitable redeployment opportunities for employees impacted by organisational change.
- Partner with operational and HR stakeholders to maximise retention wherever possible.
- Support employees throughout the redeployment process, providing clear guidance and communication.
- Monitor and report on employee outcomes, including transfers, redeployments, resignations, and redundancies.
TUPE & Business Transfers
- Coordinate all people-related activities associated with TUPE transfers and business transitions.
- Support consultation and communication plans relating to transfers.
- Ensure all employee data and documentation is prepared accurately and within required timescales.
- Act as a key point of contact for employee questions and concerns throughout the transfer process.
- Identify and manage potential risks, escalating where appropriate.
Programme Management
- Manage multiple change initiatives simultaneously across different locations.
- Maintain accurate records, trackers, and reporting documentation.
- Provide regular updates on progress, risks, milestones, and outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with HR, Operations, Payroll, Finance, and wider business stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of change management processes, documentation, and employee experience.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience managing organisational change, restructuring, or redundancy programmes.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law, particularly in relation to consultation and redundancy processes.
- Practical experience of TUPE transfers and employee consultation.
- Confidence handling sensitive employee relations matters with professionalism and empathy.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and experience managing employee documentation and data.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with sound judgement and commercial awareness.
- A willingness to travel regularly across the UK.
- Experience within a multi-site environment such as hospitality, retail, leisure, logistics, healthcare, or field-based operations would be advantageous.
