Job Title: People Change Partner
We are seeking an experienced People Change Partner to join our small and supportive team. Working alongside our People Partners, offering a real opportunity to translate business strategy into practical and sustainable organisational outcomes, which contribute to the University's future success.
Your primary focus will be leading the design and implementation of strategic workforce and organisational change programmes, working closely with leaders to deliver organisational structures and workforce solutions that enable the University to achieve its strategic objectives. You will help leaders navigate organisational change, ensuring change is implemented effectively, fairly and in line with employment legislation, policy and best practice.
While an understanding of change management methodologies is important, significant HR expertise and experience is essential, we are not seeking candidates whose primary skills and experience are within digital transformation, project management or systems transformation.
We are looking to hear from candidates who can offer:
- Level 5 HR qualification or equivalent professional experience.
- Recent and relevant experience of leading and delivering complex organisational and people change programmes.
- Strong understanding of workforce planning and the people impact of organisational change.
- Experience of partnering with senior leaders to implement organisational structures and workforce change programmes, providing practical support and guidance throughout the change process.
- Sound knowledge of people change management principles, frameworks and tools.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, challenge and support leaders at all levels.
- Experience of working constructively with Trade Unions and employee representatives through periods of change.
- Resilience, empathy and sound judgement when supporting leaders and employees through complex and often sensitive organisational change.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
