People Coordinator – 12 Month FTC | 📍 London, UK – Hybrid (1 day per week in the office) | 💰 Competitive Salary + Benefits

About the Role

We’re looking for a People Coordinator to join our People Operations team in London on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract, working hybrid with one day per week in the office.

You’ll play an important role in keeping our day-to-day People operations running smoothly, supporting colleagues throughout the employee lifecycle. From onboarding and payroll administration to HR systems, employee communications and reporting, you’ll help make sure our people processes are accurate, timely and easy to navigate.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous HR or People Operations experience who enjoys working in a busy environment, takes pride in the details and is comfortable balancing different priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, internal changes and leaver administration, making sure everything is completed accurately and on time.
  • Create employment documents including contracts, offer letters, employment confirmations, amendments and reference letters, as well as bulk letters when needed.
  • Maintain our HR systems and internal databases, keeping employee information accurate, consistent and compliant.
  • Support monthly payroll administration by preparing and validating changes, maintaining the monthly tracker and resolving employee data discrepancies ahead of payroll submission.
  • Carry out regular data quality checks and support or lead data cleansing projects to keep HR systems and personnel files accurate, organised and compliant.
  • Maintain digital employee files and records with a high level of confidentiality and audit readiness.
  • Prepare regular People reports, trackers and datasets, as well as supporting ad hoc reporting requests across the People team.
  • Be a first point of contact for People Operations queries through email, Slack and other internal channels, providing clear and timely support.
  • Manage the People inbox, prioritising queries effectively and escalating issues when needed.
  • Support continuous improvement across People Operations by updating templates, refining workflows and improving documentation.
  • Contribute to People projects covering onboarding, systems, reporting, policy updates and operational efficiency.

About You

  • Previous experience as an HR/People Coordinator, HR Administrator or in a similar People Operations role.
  • Comfortable getting up to speed quickly and working effectively in a busy, fast-paced team.
  • Strong attention to detail, with an organised and accurate approach to work.
  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience supporting onboarding, employment document generation and HR system updates.
  • Experience supporting payroll administration or preparing monthly payroll changes.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines at the same time.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and willingness to take ownership.
  • High standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms, such as Namely, would be beneficial.
  • Experience with data cleansing or HR systems improvement projects would be helpful.
  • Reporting or analytics experience, including confidence using Google Sheets or Excel, would be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Slack or similar digital communication tools would be useful.

Interview Process

We’re holding an in-person assessment day on Monday 24 August from 9am at our Moonpig office in Herbal House, London (Herbal House, 10 Back Hill, London, EC1R 5EN )

The assessment will include:

  • 30-minute in-person interview: You’ll meet with the Hiring Manager and another member of the team to talk through your experience and learn more about the People Coordinator role and team.
  • Short task: Following the interview, you’ll be asked to complete a short task in your own time.
