Hours of Work
40 Hours 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday with a 30 minute lunch break.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated People Coordinator to join our team at Long Whatton. We are looking for someone to provide high-quality operational support across the employee lifecycle. Focusing on recruitment, onboarding, HRIS administration, probation, training logistics. Ensuring managers and colleagues receive consistent, timely, and compliant service in line with HTG policies and statutory requirements.
What you’ll be doing as a People Coordinator
- Support managers with the recruitment process including job postings, interviews, and candidate communications
- Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems (e.g. Healthbox HR, Talos)
- Process change to terms, leavers, and probation reviews
- Assist with payroll inputs (e.g., new starters, absence data)
- Support performance management processes such as probation reviews and appraisals
- Respond to general HR queries and escalate complex issues to senior team members
- Support absence tracking and ensure return to work processes are completed
- Ensure adherence to HR policies and UK employment law
- Keep up to date with employment law changes
- Support audits and reporting for HR metrics
- Support internal communications, such as newsletters and policy updates

Your Skills and Qualifications
- CIPD Level 3
- Time Management
- Note Taking
- Microsoft Office/Excel
- Experience with Talos, Health Box HR, and Harlow Academy (or comparable platforms)
- Basic understanding of UK employment basics
- Previous HR experience
