CMDP+ is looking to strengthen their people team with a People Coordinator / HR Coordinator.

CMDP+ is a joint venture between MWH Treatment and Costain and will deliver a range of schemes to maintain and improve Southern Water’s water supply and wastewater treatment works across its region (Kent, Hampshire, East & West Sussex).

As a People Coordinator, you will be reporting directly into the HR Business Partner and play a pivotal role in supporting the day to day running of the People function. We’re looking for a highly organised and detail-driven People Coordinator to join a busy People team. This fully onsite role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys the operational side of HR and takes pride in keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

Responsibilities

  • Be the backbone of our People function, always ensuring confidentiality and integrity
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and probation processes
  • Manage new starter packs and maintain accurate ensuring all files are accurate and up to date.
  • Drive engagement and communication initiatives across the site
  • Organise interviews and inductions, ensuring a seamless candidate and onboarding experience including new starter communications and employee experience feedback surveys.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support across the People function
  • Drafting engaging job adverts and job descriptions
  • Managing the applicant tracking system and advertising roles across careers pages, job boards, and social media (including LinkedIn)
  • CV searching and screening against role requirements
  • Conducting first-stage telephone interviews
  • Coordinating interviews and communicating outcomes to candidates
  • Ensuring a positive, professional, and inclusive candidate experience at every stage
  • Proactive Brand Ambassador including posting to LinkedIn and managing the recruitment page of the CMDP Webpage.
  • Attending all local Recruitment Events, Job Fairs, and Open days
  • Liaising closely with operational staff to source, screen, interview, offer, and onboard candidates in line with Recruitment Policy and Guidelines
  • Provide regular and well-documented recruiting reports
  • Acting as a key point of contact and building positive and engaging candidate & hiring manager relationships
  • Acting as a key point of contact for MWHT and Costain TA/recruitment teams.
  • Opportunity to develop HR knowledge and skills across recruitment, learning and development, employee relations, and organisational development.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Essential

  • Previous HR experience as a HR Administrator, HR Coordinator, HR Assistant, or similar role
  • Keen to develop their HR knowledge
  • CIPD Level 3 qualified (or working towards)
  • Knowledge of recruitment and onboarding
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Proactive, organised, and able to juggle multiple priorities
