People & Culture Advisor
The People & Culture Advisor will be responsible for providing support in the HR function of the Manila office – from recruitment, benefits administration, payroll, employee relations and learning and development. This position also provides support to the global payroll administration of other Teekay offices.
Some of the things you’ll be doing
- Conduct Recruitment activities as needed and new hire employee onboarding.
- Ensures pre-employment requirements and procedures are carried out and prepared before the onboarding of new hire.
- Prepares PhilHealth certifications for employees as needed.
- Ensure proper administration/implementation of the Recruitment Referral program.
- Liaise with third party recruiters as needed.
- Coordinate with HMO provider (medical provider) and Group Life insurance provider regarding employee enrolment or deletion. Liaise with benefits provider regarding employee claims as required.
- Oracle HCM administration and ensure that employee records are maintained.
- Handles employee inquiries and advises management regarding compliance with government regulations and company policies.
- Ensure training matrix is updated for shore-based personnel.
- Recommends courses for shore-based personnel in coordination with respective managers.
- Ensures prompt update of payroll data in compliance with the annual payroll calendar.
- Evaluate the accuracy of payroll calculations and checks any discrepancies or errors.
- Ensures timely filing of statutory reports (SSS, PhilHealth, BIR, HDMF, etc.) for employee updates in close coordination with Cloud Pay.
- Point of contact for shore-based personnel retirement contributions (employee/employer share) and retirement benefit payout in coordination with the Trustee (Fund Manager).
- Spearheads Knowledge Share activities and schedules on a quarterly basis.
- Ensures leave records are currently in ORACLE for all employees.
- Serve as one of the Data Privacy Officers, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations, safeguarding sensitive information, and promoting privacy best practices within the organization.
- Assist in the coordination and management of legal documents, ensuring accurate organization and proper filing.
- Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned as required.

What we are looking for
- Graduate of Psychology or Business degree or equivalent education is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in the Human Resources function or Industrial Relations discipline including benefits administration.
- Excellent oral presentation and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a very strong employee service focus and aptitude.
- Able to handle sensitive interpersonal discussions appropriately. Maintains confidentiality in all situations.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); HR Analytics is a plus.
- Ability to work well both independently and as a team member.
