Based at: Newmarket Racecourses (Hybrid)
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced People & Culture Business Partner to work alongside senior leaders and help shape how we attract, develop, engage and get the best from our people. You’ll play a key role in driving performance and organisational effectiveness across our Racecourse Hubs and enabling functions, using commercial insight, sound judgement and a pragmatic approach to deliver people initiatives that drive organisational performance, build capability, strengthen culture and support transformation.

The People & Culture Business Partner will
- Partner with senior leaders across multiple businesses to develop and deliver people plans that support business priorities and future workforce needs.
- Provide commercial, pragmatic advice and challenge on organisational effectiveness, workforce planning and people performance.
- Use people data and insights to identify trends, opportunities and risks and support better decision-making.
- Lead and support organisational change and transformation programmes.
- Coach and support leaders to build strong leadership capability, manage performance and navigate complex people challenges.
- Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, balancing commercial needs, colleague experience and legal requirements.
- Support talent, succession and development planning to build capability and strengthen the future talent pipeline.
- Champion engagement, inclusion and a positive culture, helping create high-performing teams where colleagues can thrive.
- Lead and contribute to wider People & Culture projects, working collaboratively across the People team to deliver joined-up solutions.

About You
- An experienced People/HR Business Partner, ideally from a complex, multi-site or operational environment.
- CIPD Level 7 qualified, or able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
- Commercially minded and curious, with a genuine interest in understanding the business and what makes it successful.
- Confident influencing senior leaders, providing constructive challenge and bringing fresh thinking to people and business decisions.
- Experienced in leading and supporting organisational change, transformation, organisational design and workforce planning.
- Strong employment law and employee relations knowledge, with the confidence to navigate complex and sensitive situations.
- Comfortable using people data and insights to spot trends, solve problems and inform decision-making.
- A strong coach and relationship builder, able to develop credibility and trusted partnerships at all levels.
- Resilient, pragmatic and comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience within an operational or customer-facing organisation would be advantageous.
