Location: Homebased
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £50,250

The People & Culture Business Partner role:

Part of the People & Culture team, the People & Culture Business Partner sits within Migrant Help however, it works closely with Migrant Help Trading Limited (MHTL), trading as Clear Voice. Clear Voice is an award-winning social enterprise and growing technology-enabled language services provider, delivering interpreting, translation and transcription services across the public, private and voluntary sectors. As a subsidiary of Migrant Help, 100% of Clear Voice's profits are donated to the charity, helping to fund vital support for refugees, people seeking asylum, survivors of modern slavery and victims of human trafficking.

This is a unique opportunity to support both a purpose-driven charity and a fast-growing commercial business. Working closely with senior leaders, you will ensure that People and Culture practices support the success of both organisations while remaining true to their shared mission. Key responsibilities of our People & Culture Business Partner:

  • Drive the development of a people strategy aligned to commercial and social enterprise goals.
  • Culture & Organisational Development
    • Lead initiatives that foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
    • Support the organisation in its evolution from a developing function to a mature commercial business.
    • Led delivery of a data-driven people strategy, using scorecards and analytics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
    • Design and implement frameworks to support organisational effectiveness, engagement, and wellbeing.
    • Improve employee engagement by leveraging survey insights (e.g. WorkBuzz) to inform targeted interventions.
  • Provide constructive challenge to SLT, ensuring decisions are aligned with:
    • Internal policies
    • Governance framework
    • Employment legislation
    • Good practice.
  • Identify and mitigate people-related risks, including culture, compliance, and employee relations.
  • Provide constructive challenge and expert guidance to senior leaders, ensuring decisions aligned with policy, agreed governance frameworks, legislation, and good practice.
  • Coach and support senior leaders to build leadership capability and accountability ensuring full participation with the Leadership Academy.
  • Work with the Training & Development team to identify any additional requirements as part of the annual Training Needs Analysis process.
  • Promote effective decision-making that balances commercial priorities with people impact.
  • Enable leaders to manage teams in a way that reflects organisational values and expectations.

The experience and skills you need as our People & Culture Business Partner:

  • Proven experience as a strategic HR Business Partner or consultant in a commercial environment.
  • Experience working with senior leaders to develop and deliver people strategies aligned to business goals.
  • Track record of supporting organisational and cultural change at a senior level.
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills across stakeholders.
  • Ability to balance commercial priorities with a values-led and purpose-driven approach.
