About The Role

We're looking for a People & Culture Partner to join our Corporate Units Finance team at BT Group during an exciting period of transformation. With Patricia Cobian joining as our new Group CFO and a continued focus on evolving how Finance supports the business, this is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of the function.

Reporting to the Senior People & Culture Partner, you'll work closely with senior Finance leaders across BT to develop and deliver people strategies that drive business performance, organisational effectiveness and future capability. You'll partner with Finance Directors and their teams as they continue to evolve the Finance Operating Model, lead transformation, build engagement and develop the skills needed for future success.

This is a role with genuine influence and visibility. You'll use people insights, data and sound judgement to support business leaders in making informed decisions, navigating change and creating an environment where people can thrive. Working alongside specialist People & Culture teams, you'll help turn strategic priorities into practical solutions that deliver meaningful business impact.

We're looking for someone who builds strong relationships, is confident challenging constructively, and brings energy, curiosity and commercial thinking to their work. If you're passionate about helping leaders and teams succeed, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and want to make a real difference in one of BT's most important functions, we'd love to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Use workforce planning to ensure Finance has the right skills, in the right place, at the right time
  • Partner with Finance leaders to shape and deliver strategic workforce planning, anticipating future workforce needs and ensuring the skills, capabilities and talent pipelines are in place to support long-term business success
  • Work with senior leaders on organisational design projects that simplify structures, roles and ways of working
  • Help leaders respond to changing business needs by developing clear, practical people plans
  • Collaborate to build and deliver plans that support BT's HR strategy, policies and priorities
  • Support Finance-specific talent, development and mobility programmes
  • Contribute to the development of the Finance Operating Model, including workforce size, shape and future capability requirements
  • Work with the Senior HR Business Partner to shape Finance skills and capability plans for the short and long term
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to create engagement plans that meet the needs of each business area
  • Use people data and insights to identify risks, support decision-making and recommend practical solutions
  • Deliver people activities across workforce planning, performance, engagement, organisational design, talent management, leadership development and employee relations

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
