Axiom Hospitality - Cluster People and Culture Manager
Personal enough to know your name. Connected enough to open every door.
Axiom Hospitality is one of the UK's fastest-growing hotel management companies - and we're not slowing down. In a few short years we've grown to over 40 hotels, partnering with some of the world's most recognised brands including Hilton, Marriott, IHG and Radisson. Through our partnership with Pyramid Global Hospitality, we're not only connected across the UK, but connected across the globe.
That growth means something real for you. The people who join us now grow with us - and we have a strong track record of promoting from within. If you're looking for a job, we can offer you that. If you're looking for a career, we can offer you that too.
YOUR PLACE AT AXIOM
As our portfolio continues to grow, we are looking for a creative, energetic and people-focused Cluster People and Culture Manager to join us across two of our vibrant London properties, Hotel Indigo Clerkenwell and Hilton Islington. This is a hands-on, hotel-based role where you'll be the face of People and Culture across both sites, building genuine relationships with every team member, championing our culture and values, and making sure our people feel supported, developed and set up to thrive from day one.
HOW YOU'LL PLAY YOUR PART
- Lead the full people agenda across both hotels, from recruitment and onboarding through to employee relations, performance and engagement
- Build strong, trusted relationships with GMs, HODs and colleagues across both sites, acting as a visible and approachable presence within the hotels
- Manage employee relations casework with fairness, discretion and confidence, ensuring compliance with employment law and Axiom's policies
- Drive recruitment and selection for both hotels, ensuring we attract, hire and retain great people who fit our culture
- Support onboarding and induction for new starters, making sure every person feels welcomed and set up to succeed from day one
- Support and coach line managers on people practices, performance management and difficult conversations
- Champion employee engagement, wellbeing and recognition initiatives that bring our culture to life across both properties
- Support Learning Management System (LMS) content, engagement and administration for both hotels
- Partner with the central People and Culture team on wider projects, policy rollouts and reporting
- Help build and sustain a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture across both hotels

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

WHO THRIVES HERE
We're growing and the people who thrive here are those who bring creativity, energy and genuine passion for the industry. These are the behaviours that will help you thrive at Axiom.
- Adaptability & resilience: You move easily between two hotels and two teams, adjusting your approach to whatever each site and each moment needs, staying calm when priorities shift, and bringing the same standard to a quiet admin day as a complex ER case.
- Collaboration, communication & inclusion: You enjoy building relationships as much as solving problems. You communicate clearly, make people feel heard, and create a culture where everyone feels able to participate - adapting your style for different teams, backgrounds and hotel environments.
- Accountability & results: You bring solid experience in HR or People and Culture, and you know hospitality from the inside - which means you know exactly what good looks like on the floor. You take ownership of the impact of your work, use feedback to improve, are honest when something isn't landing, and measure success by what actually changes for your people, not by how many cases you have closed.
- Talent development & team building: You are genuinely passionate about people development and hospitality. You invest in the people you work with, build trust with hotel teams quickly, and leave every interaction having made a real connection.
- Ethics, integrity & values: You model the behaviours you are asking others to develop. Honest, consistent and trustworthy, whilst creating a culture where it is safe to try, fail and grow.
- Innovation & continuous improvement: Creative, organised, proactive and full of energy, you bring ideas and follow through. You are confident holding a room, reading a team and adapting in the moment. You look for better ways to support and develop your people, and you do not wait to be asked.
THE PERKS OF GOING FURTHER
We believe the people who look after our teams deserve to be genuinely well looked after themselves. Here's what that looks like.
- A world of hotel stays: Through our partnership with Pyramid Global Hospitality, you get access to discounted stays at hundreds of hotels around the world. Colleague rates across the Axiom portfolio and up to 50% off food and drink at our properties sit on top of that.
- The Axiom Xcape: Following your first full year with us, you'll be welcomed to enjoy a complimentary stayover of up to two nights at one of our hotels - completely complimentary from us to you.
- Awards that actually mean something: Our annual Axiom Awards celebrate the best people across the business. This year's Employee of the Year winner was flown to Florida. Next year, that could be you.
- Refer a friend — earn up to £500: Know someone who would be great here? Tell them. If they join, you can earn up to £500.
- Stream: Access your earned pay before payday, whenever you need it. Financial flexibility built into your employment from day one.
- 28 to 33 days holiday: Starting at 28 days including bank holidays, rising as your length of service grows.
- Free meals on shift: Enjoy complimentary meals whenever you're working at one of our hotels.
- Wellbeing support: Employee Assistance Programme for your mental health and wellbeing, available 24 hours a day.
- Length of service awards: Recognised at 1, 3, 5, 10 and 20 years.
