People Development Partner
A leading UK organisation is seeking an experienced and energising People Development Partner to join its Operations Talent Development function. This field-based role will partner closely with operational and People teams to strengthen capability, improve performance and develop leadership talent across a broad regional remit.
The position will focus on identifying capability gaps, delivering targeted coaching and development interventions, strengthening internal talent pipelines and ensuring development activity delivers measurable commercial impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with operational teams to improve key performance and people-related metrics.
- Deliver targeted coaching and development interventions where performance or capability indicators require improvement.
- Conduct root-cause analysis to identify capability gaps affecting operational and commercial outcomes.
- Support senior operational leaders in addressing people-related drivers of performance.
- Work with People Business Partners to implement targeted capability plans and improve performance.
- Track, measure and report on the commercial and operational impact of development interventions.
- Design and deliver acceleration programmes to strengthen internal talent pipelines.
- Continuously evaluate and refine development programmes based on feedback, performance data and effectiveness.
- Identify high-potential employees through regular business reviews and contribute to succession planning.
- Provide clarity around career pathways, development opportunities and promotion readiness.
- Ensure operational development plans are realistic, measurable and aligned with business priorities.
- Manage multiple development projects from planning through to completion.
- Build strong relationships with operational leaders, People teams and other key stakeholders across the organisation.

Requirements
- Proven experience delivering training, learning and development within a hands-on operational environment.
- Strong track record of improving individual and team performance through structured coaching and targeted interventions.
- Experience developing internal talent pipelines and supporting succession planning.
- Strong understanding of people development, capability building and high-performance cultures.
- Excellent project management skills with a strong focus on delivery and completion.
- Ability to analyse performance information and translate findings into practical development initiatives.
- Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Comfortable working independently across a large geographical area.
- Willingness to travel regularly, including occasional overnight stays.
- Proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to build credibility and influence across operational teams.
- Genuine interest in operational environments and developing people to achieve stronger business outcomes.

Role Details
- Field-based position covering a large regional area.
- Regular travel between operational locations is required.
- Occasional overnight stays may be necessary.
- An in-person assessment day is scheduled for 18 September 2026.
