About The Role

We are seeking an experienced trainer to join our People & Development team, based in our Swindon, Bath, or Bristol office. You will be part of a friendly and supportive team, working closely with the People & Development Manager and Emerging Talent Advisor, as well as collaborating with colleagues across the wider HR function.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of our People & Development team and play a key role in shaping and delivering the firm's learning and development initiatives. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will help drive strategic people development plans and support the growth of the talented individuals who contribute to our continued success.

In this role, you will work closely with the wider HR team to:

  • Identify capability gaps and support talent, succession and career development planning across the firm
  • Design, develop and deliver engaging learning and development programmes using a blend of in-person and digital learning approaches
  • Support emerging talent initiatives, including trainee recruitment, assessment centres, and where appropriate offer coaching support at a junior level
  • Manage and support key people development activities, including mentoring, coaching, and professional development requirements
  • Monitor, evaluate and continuously improve learning activities, resources and compliance training to support business objectives
  • Support the wider HR team with training needs

Whilst this role is based in the Swindon, Bath or Bristol office, independent travel to other offices will be required

This is a full-time role although we will consider part-time or compressed hours working.

The role holds potential for further career progression.

About You

To do well in this role, you will bring strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills, along with the ability to build positive relationships and provide an excellent learning experience for all areas of the firm. You will also have:

  • Previous experience in a law firm or professional services environment
  • In-depth experience of conducting training/development needs analysis, course design, development and delivery
  • Experience of delivering in virtual and physical environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365
  • Knowledge of profiling tools such as Miro, Insights or DISC is desirable
  • Coaching experience and a coaching qualification are advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to travel independently to other offices
