You will join at a time of transition, as we strengthen our services, become stronger partners across NHG and enable our leaders to build capability, strengthen performance and deliver good outcomes for our residents.

People insights, systems and continuous improvement is a critical part of our work. We're focused on creating a modern, digitally enabled People service that empowers colleagues, improves decision-making and delivers a seamless colleague experience.

What The Role Is All About

The People Digital and Improvement Lead plays a vital role in our delivering our ambitions. This is a broad leadership role for someone who is a capable people manager, who can deliver with and through others and enjoys bringing together systems, data, insights/reporting and improvement activity to drive meaningful change. You'll work closely with colleagues across the people function and the organisation to ensure our people technology, insight and processes support better outcomes for colleagues, managers and the business.

Overall, you will help us to work in a smarter way and ensure we have great insight into our people and performance.

How You'll Do It

  • Lead and develop a team of specialists, creating clear priorities and supporting high performance across systems, data, reporting and improvement activity.
  • Lead our People systems services, ensuring they support an efficient and effective People function.
  • Shape priorities for system improvements and digital enhancements across HR.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to maximise value from our people technology.
  • Lead HR digital and improvement projects, ensuring successful delivery and adoption.
  • Develop reporting, dashboards and people insight that support informed decision-making across the organisation.
  • Promote strong data governance and reporting standards, helping to improve confidence in our people data.
  • Drive continuous improvement by simplifying processes, improving efficiency and enhancing the colleague experience.
  • Work closely with HR leaders to identify opportunities for improvement and embed sustainable change.
  • Champion digitally enabled ways of working that create a more connected, efficient and data-driven People service.

The ideal candidate

Essential:

  • Experience leading, coaching and delivering through own team and others.
  • Significant experience overseeing reporting and insight frameworks, including design of insight dashboards, KPIs, benchmarking, bringing different data sets together and external reporting requirements (experience with PowerBI is essential).
  • Experience leading improvements across People systems with a good understanding of how systems, data and processes connect
  • Experience delivering or overseeing digital or HR improvement or implementation projects, including scoping, governance, planning and change management.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and how digital tools, workflow design and reporting can improve efficiency and consistency
  • Strong planning and project management skills across a programme of work and ability to track and measure outcomes.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with HR systems suppliers and managing third-party relationships.
  • Experience using ITrent, Cornerstone and/or Tribepad.
  • Experience designing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives within HR functions.
