About The Opportunity
We are looking for a People Director to help lead our Europe business through its next phase of growth. We need someone who can work alongside our European leadership team to shape the business, build leadership capability, retain exceptional talent, and ensure our People strategy evolves ahead of the business.
The role will lead the People team across the UK and Portugal and play an important role in connecting Europe to Indicium AI’s global business strategy, People priorities and ways of working. You will represent the needs of the Europe business globally while helping translate our global objectives into regional priorities.
Success in this role requires someone who is highly visible in the business, builds credibility and relationships quickly, brings the confidence and judgment to influence senior leaders, and can introduce the right level of structure without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
You will lead and develop our existing Europe People team and work closely with our Global People and Talent team.
This is a hybrid role with a minimum of three days per week in the office, plus regular travel to Lisbon.
Responsibilities
- Lead the People strategy across the UK and Portugal, aligned with Europe and global business objectives.
- Help lead Europe through its next stage of scale, anticipating the organizational, leadership and talent capabilities needed as the business grows.
- Connect Europe to the global business, translating global priorities into regional People priorities while representing Europe’s needs in global decisions.
- Build strong, trusted relationships across the business, becoming a credible adviser to leaders on both business and People decisions.
- Strengthen leadership and management capability, coaching leaders through performance, organisational challenges, change and difficult people decisions.
- Build and retain exceptional talent, particularly across our technical and consulting teams, through career development, performance, compensation, succession and workforce planning.
- Support the continued growth of Portugal, ensuring we have the right organisation, leadership, talent practices and culture as the Lisbon team scales.
- Lead, mentor and develop the Europe People team, creating opportunities for the team to grow while maintaining ownership and autonomy.
- Build scalable People practices without over-engineering them, continuously improving core People processes, systems, reporting and ways of working as the organisation grows.
- Lead organisational change and manage People risk, including employee relations and other transformations, balancing employee experience with commercial realities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
