Role: People Director

Location: London

Hybrid Working: 4 days in office

Salary: From £130k

I’m excited to be partnering with one of the UK’s most exciting high-growth fintech businesses to hire a People Director into their London team.

They have scaled significantly over the last few years and is continuing to grow across Europe and EMEA, building out both its product offering and the organisation behind it. It’s a very fast-paced, high-performance environment with ambitious plans for the next stage of growth.

They’re now looking for a commercial People Director to partner with their central functions, with a particular focus on Finance alongside Risk, Compliance and Legal.

This is a senior IC role with significant exposure to the executive team. You’ll work particularly closely with the CFO and Finance leadership, helping them think through what a best-in-class function needs to look like as the business continues to scale.

What you’ll be getting involved with:

  • Partnering with senior leaders across Finance, Risk, Compliance and Legal on their people and organisational priorities
  • Working closely with the CFO on the continued build-out and evolution of the Finance organisation
  • Leading on org design, workforce planning and capability building across your client groups
  • Bringing together people and commercial thinking, particularly around headcount, budgets, forecasting and where to invest next
  • Using data and analytics to challenge thinking and drive better organisational decisions
  • Identifying critical talent and capability gaps and helping leaders build high-performing teams
  • Supporting leaders through organisational change and periods of significant growth
  • Acting as a genuine thought partner to senior stakeholders, bringing challenge, judgement and a strong point of view rather than simply executing a people agenda

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

A little bit about you:

  • Experience operating at Senior People Partner / People Director level
  • Coming from a high-growth, scaling environment: fintech would be ideal, but broader tech, SaaS or another fast-paced scaling business absolutely works
  • Strong experience partnering Finance and/or Central Functions
  • Comfortable working directly with CFO and exec-level stakeholders
  • Strong across org design, workforce planning and organisational change
  • Commercial and analytical: comfortable getting into headcount, budgets and data, not just the traditional people agenda
  • Able to hold your own with senior leaders, challenge where needed and bring a clear point of view
