About Scott Dunn

Founded in 1986, Scott Dunn has been creating extraordinary travel experiences for four decades. We operate across the UK, USA, Singapore, and Hong Kong — a genuinely global business with the culture and attention to detail of a specialist boutique.

As part of the Flight Centre Travel Group, we benefit from the scale, infrastructure, and global reach of one of the world's largest travel companies — while maintaining the distinctive identity, values, and ways of working that make Scott Dunn, Scott Dunn.

Our three values — In the Know, In the Detail, and Inspiring — are not aspirational statements. They shape how we hire, how we develop our people, how we serve our guests, and how we hold ourselves to account. The Head of People Experience will be their custodian

This is a role for someone who knows that extraordinary guest experiences begin with extraordinary employee experiences.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

We are looking for an exceptional people leader to join our Global Management Team as People Experience Leader— a role that sits at the heart of everything we do and everything we aspire to be.

The Opportunity

This is a senior, strategic role with genuine scope. You will be a trusted partner to the Global Managing Director, a custodian of Scott Dunn's culture, and the architect of a people experience that matches the brand's reputation for excellence.

You will hold full accountability for the People function across UK and Asia — spanning talent, learning and development, culture, employee relations, wellbeing, and the annual People budget. You will collaborate closely with our SVP USA and Americas PX team as well as the wider FCTG group, helping to shape a globally consistent, locally nuanced people experience across all four Scott Dunn markets.

This is a role for someone who thrives on connecting people strategy to commercial outcomes — and who understands that the way a team feels about where they work has a direct bearing on the experience they create for guests.

What We're Looking For

You will be an experienced, senior people leader — someone who has operated at or close to SWOT/Exec level and who brings both the strategic thinking and the personal credibility to make an impact from day one.

You will bring:

  • Significant HR business partnering experience at senior level, across commercial, consumer-facing businesses
  • A proven track record of designing and delivering people strategies that move the needle — evidenced in engagement scores, retention, culture, or capability
  • Experience owning and driving a Great Place to Work programme, or equivalent employee engagement framework
  • Leadership of L&D strategy, including leadership development and talent pipeline programmes
  • Full budget ownership within a People function
  • The confidence and credibility to influence at board level — and the humility to get into the detail when it matters
  • Experience managing and developing a team of HR, Talent & L&D professionals
  • Knowledge of UK employment law; familiarity with Singapore or Hong Kong practices is an advantage
  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent

You will be:

  • Strategic and commercially minded — someone who sees people strategy through a business lens, not just an HR one
  • A natural relationship builder who is able to credibly and effectively influence at Senior Leader level
  • Detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture — very much In the Detail and In the Know
  • Calm under pressure, decisive when it counts, and genuinely passionate about building an engaging and motivating culture
  • Someone who finds the luxury travel world exciting — and who wants to be part of an exceptional and unique brand with an exciting growth story

Our number one philosophy is Our people. Flight Centre Travel Group's promise is to provide an environment with equality of respect, dignity and opportunity for all our employees. We value an inclusive and supportive workplace which reflects the diversity of our society.
