We are looking for an experienced and proactive People Manager to join our growing People team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who is passionate about supporting leaders, developing talent, and creating exceptional colleague experiences across a portfolio of schools.
As the trusted People partner to School Leaders, you will provide expert advice and operational support across the full employee lifecycle, helping to build high-performing teams while ensuring best practice, compliance, and a positive workplace culture.
About The Role
Reporting to the People Partner, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality People support across a defined group of schools. You'll manage a varied and rewarding workload that includes employee relations, recruitment, workforce planning, talent development, learning and development, and HR compliance.
This role offers the chance to influence people practices, support organisational change, and work closely with leaders to drive engagement, retention, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day People advice and guidance to School Leaders.
- Act as the first point of contact for HR and employee relations matters.
- Manage performance, attendance, conduct, and grievance cases.
- Conduct investigations and prepare clear, professional reports.
- Lead end-to-end recruitment and onboarding activities.
- Support succession planning, talent mapping, and employee development initiatives.
- Analyse workforce data and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Manage employee lifecycle processes, contractual changes, and HR records.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, safeguarding requirements, and internal policies.
- Support change projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
You'll be a confident HR professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and supporting leaders to get the best from their teams.
Essential
- CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualified (or working towards).
- Previous HR/People experience within a generalist role.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
- Experience managing employee relations cases.
- Excellent organisation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience within education, care, or another regulated environment.
- Knowledge of safer recruitment processes.
- Experience using HRIS systems.
