About the Client:

One of VWA's clients in the education sector are looking for a People Partner to join them on a fixed-term basis until the end of the year. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with prior experience in HR or People Management to build on their skills in a professional, prestigious environment!

About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading educational institution as People Partner on a fixed-term basis. This role will deliver a proactive, high-quality people service, working closely with leaders and managers to offer guidance on all areas of people management. This is a hands-on, people-focused role and will not be required to get involved in strategic projects. The responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Building effective working relationships with leaders and managers
  • Working proactively with managers to develop effective solutions, and support managers in applying HR policies
  • Managing a range of employee relations cases
  • Support with investigations and formal meetings, preparing relevant documentation
  • Support with recruitment and payroll processes
  • Assist with administration and delivery of key employee lifecycle processes
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and safeguarding requirements

Candidate Specification:

  • Previous experience in an HR role, with demonstratable experience supporting with employee relations matters essential
  • Experience in an educational setting strongly preferred
  • Experience with L&D processes desirable
  • Knowledge of employment law and HR best practise
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing pressures
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and influencing skills
  • Ability to handle emotionally charged situations with a high level of tact, diplomacy and sensitivity
  • Positive ‘can-do’ attitude, proactive and driven

Additional Information:

  • This is a fixed-term contract, until December 2026. There is the potential for this role to become permanent, but this is not guaranteed
  • Up to £56K, dependent on experience
  • Core hours are 9am-5pm, with some flexibility to work outside core hours required
  • Fully on-site, based in central London
