Join a Dedicated Team as HR/People Manager in the Supported Accommodation Industry

Required Skills:

  • Proven generalist HR experience, ideally in multi-site, regulated settings such as care, education, or housing
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law
  • Experience in recruitment, onboarding, and safer recruitment procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • High emotional intelligence and resilience
  • Confident communicator, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with HR systems, people data, and reporting

Responsibilities:

  • Support site management in understanding and implementing HR policies aligned with safeguarding and Ofsted standards
  • Assist managers with performance reviews, providing clear guidance and constructive feedback
  • Ensure compliance by maintaining accurate employee documentation, contracts, and job descriptions
  • Coordinate regular appraisals, record holidays and sickness, and support training and development initiatives
  • Manage HR administration, including employment law updates, grievances, disciplinary processes, and investigations
  • Lead recruitment efforts, from advertising to onboarding, ensuring safer recruitment practices
  • Prepare induction materials and facilitate smooth onboarding of new starters
  • Partner with leadership to deliver relevant training and development aligned with regulatory standards
  • Stay updated on legislative changes and adapt company policies accordingly

Additional Skills:

  • Experience working in emotionally demanding environments
  • Ability to build strong relationships quickly with diverse teams
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in care, education, or housing sectors
  • Familiarity with HR analytics and reporting tools

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • HR qualification or equivalent experience
  • Significant experience in multi-site, operational HR roles within regulated sectors
  • Prior success managing complex ER cases and supporting organizational compliance
