About the Role

As a People Manager within the Services & Support division, you will hold the formal line-management relationship for team members across Support, Technical Services, and Educational Services. In this dedicated leadership role, your core focus will be driving people strategy, supporting career progression, managing formal HR processes, and fostering strong employee engagement and wellbeing.

You will work in close partnership with functional and divisional leads who direct day-to-day operations, project deliverables, and technical standards. By owning formal people management, performance reviews, personal development, and employee relations, you ensure every team member receives consistent, high-quality support and dedicated guidance throughout their career journey.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Formal Line Management: Serve as the direct line manager for colleagues across Support, Technical Services, and Educational Services. Conduct structured 1:1s, performance appraisals, probation reviews, and career development discussions.
  • Employee Relations & HR Processes: Manage formal employment matters, including performance management, disciplinary and grievance processes, absence management, flexible working requests, and contractual adjustments, partnering with central HR as required.
  • Divisional Partnership: Maintain a collaborative partnership with functional leads to gather actionable input on employee performance and growth, ensuring personal feedback reflects technical and operational contributions.
  • Performance & Career Frameworks: Implement and maintain clear, consistent performance evaluation frameworks and career pathway structures across all supported functions.
  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Lead end-to-end hiring processes (role scoping, candidate selection, offers) in partnership with technical leads, and oversee comprehensive onboarding for all new hires.
  • Wellbeing & Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee wellbeing, monitor engagement indicators, address workload concerns, and advocate for positive team culture and retention initiatives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
