People Officer - Talent & Systems (Interim)
Location: Royal Holloway Students’ Union
Salary: £28k - £32k per year
The role
We’re looking for a People Officer – Talent & Systems to join our People & Culture team and help deliver an efficient, professional and people-focused HR service across RHSU.
Reporting to the HR Manager, you’ll provide generalist HR support across the employee lifecycle, with a particular focus on talent acquisition, recruitment, onboarding, HR systems and workforce data. You’ll work closely with managers and leaders across the organisation, helping us attract and retain great people while ensuring our HR records and processes are accurate, compliant and effective.
The role will also play an important part in improving our HR systems, processes and employee experience, including projects focused on enhancing the employee lifecycle and reviewing RHSU’s Total Rewards package.
With around 50 permanent employees and over 200 casual student staff, this is a varied role with the opportunity to make a real impact across the organisation.

About us
Royal Holloway Students’ Union (RHSU) is here to support, represent and enhance the student experience at Royal Holloway, University of London. We provide a wide range of services, activities and opportunities for students, from advice and representation to societies, sports, events and commercial services.

Job Type
Full-time, Fixed Term (12 months)
Grade and salary range
Grade 4, £28 - £32k. Salary is subject to RHSU’s Pay & Reward Policy.
Hours of Work
35 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 60% in the office. Hours can be arranged in line with RHSU’s flexible working approach and to suit the needs of the organisation.
