About Entrepreneurs First

Entrepreneurs First invests in exceptional individuals to build startups from scratch.

[Why] We exist to amplify ambition, alter career trajectories, and shape the future.

[How] We find exceptional talent, to form exceptional teams, to build exceptional companies.

[What] We’ve backed thousands of founders at the earliest stage, creating >$11B in value. Examples include GenZ fintech Cleo AI, encrypted blockchain protocol Aztec, and diamond marketplace Nivoda.

EF has pioneered global Talent Investing since 2014 and is backed by some of the world's leading founders and investors including Patrick and John Collison (Stripe); Reid Hoffman (LinkedIn), and Demis Hassabis (Google Deepmind).

The Role

As the leading talent investor, EF is a people-focused business. Our 110-strong team and network of partners are dedicated to maximising the success of our founders, our community, and the startup ecosystems we operate in. Across London, Paris, Bangalore and San Francisco, we work as global and local teams to build our platform and help the next generation of entrepreneurs found category-defining companies with us.

Reporting to our Head of People, this role is the first point of contact for the People team, joining a small but thriving team at the core of EF. Our size means you'll have contact with our entire global team, including leadership, and our culture embraces ownership at every level. It's a great opportunity to stretch your skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment spanning employee lifecycle management, global total rewards, and building trusted relationships across the business.

This role is based in London, with our team splitting their time between our Hoxton office and home. People is a function built on trust, so we expect you to be in the office at least two days a week (this will be more during onboarding), where you’ll help champion our values, build relationships and stay closely connected to the wider team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure operational excellence across the People lifecycle:

    • Manage the People Ops process and workflow for onboarding and offboarding EF employees across our four sites, this includes creating employment contracts and other employment related letters/documents.
    • Be the owner of People data, ensuring it is updated and managed accurately via our People systems, most importantly HiBob.
    • Be the first point of contact for the organisation for any questions or support required related to the employee lifecycle or benefits.
    • Liaise with our finance team and external vendors to coordinate the monthly payroll process.
  • Reduce low leverage activities for the team through automations and tooling

    • Continue our quest for increased automation by building tooling and exploring opportunities for process improvement.
    • Build dashboards that surface important People data in real-time.
  • Continuously improve the People experience at EF

    • Manage and implement the employee benefits packages across our sites.
    • Identify and execute improvements for how the wider company interacts with People tools and processes through automations and a product-focussed mindset.
    • Be part of the Operations teams that lead the annual Global Summit. This is a pivotal moment of the year where all of our global employees come together for a week of learning and team building in an off-site location.

Who this role is not for

  • You want a structured 9-5pm job with high oversight and clear responsibilities - EF is fast-paced and we have a small team. We need to operate nimbly and prioritise when gold, silver or bronze standards are needed.
  • You want a slow ramp up and time to find your feet before being given responsibility - We’ll equip you with what you need to get started but doing well in this job will involve diving headfirst and being hungry for responsibility to make an impact fast.
  • You don’t want to be employee facing - EF is a talent investor. Our People are our product. That means we need to build relationships with our employees and know the team deeply, not just implement the systems for them.
