About The Role

Role Summary

As our People Operations Lead, you'll lead and develop a team responsible for delivering an exceptional employee experience across the full employee lifecycle. Reporting to the Head of People Operations & Reward, you'll oversee the day-to-day operation of the People Operations function, ensuring a high-quality, efficient and customer-focused service for employees and managers.

Leading a team of three People Operations Coordinators and one People Operations Specialist, you'll play a key role in driving operational excellence, continuous improvement and capability development across the function. You'll build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, provide guidance on People policies and processes, and help shape the future of People Operations through automation, system enhancements and service improvements.

This role combines people leadership, operational management and project delivery, making it an excellent opportunity for an experienced People Operations professional who is looking to broaden their management experience while helping drive meaningful change across the People function.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of People Operations professionals, ensuring high levels of engagement, performance and service delivery.
  • Oversee the delivery of People Operations services across the employee lifecycle, managing workload prioritisation, service levels and operational escalations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers on People policies, processes, absence management and flexible working requests, escalating complex employee relations matters to the Advisory team where appropriate.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to simplify, standardise and enhance People processes and employee experience.
  • Support the ongoing optimisation of Zellis and lead automation initiatives through Power Automate and other technologies to improve efficiency and reduce manual administration.
  • Lead and contribute to People projects - process harmonisation across UK, US and Swiss employee populations, service improvements and adoption of new technologies.
  • Build strong relationships across the business, using data and insight to identify trends, support decision-making and improve operational performance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
