📍 London - Hybrid. 2 days per week in our London office, 3 days remote / work from home (40 hour week)

Are you a hands-on People Operations professional who loves working with data, enjoys solving problems and has already found clever ways to make processes better through technology and automation?

If so, we'd love to hear from you!

We've spent the last few years transforming People Operations at Goodlord, building strong foundations and finding smarter ways to work. Now we're looking for someone to take what we've built and make it even better.

You'll lead our small People Operations team, combining day-to-day operational ownership with systems, data, reward and continuous improvement.

We're particularly interested in people who bring three things: genuine People Operations expertise, a real strength in numbers and data, and practical experience of implementing automation or AI-enabled improvements.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own and continuously improve our end-to-end People Operations processes, from onboarding and Right to Work compliance through to offboarding.
  • Take ownership of our People systems, data, reporting and headcount information, ensuring accuracy and providing meaningful insight to support business decisions.
  • Use your experience of AI and automation to simplify processes, reduce manual work and improve efficiency across People Operations.
  • Lead the delivery of reward and benefits processes, including annual pay reviews, salary benchmarking, GPG reporting, pay banding and benefits administration.
  • Lead and support our People Operations Specialist, whilst remaining hands-on with the operational detail.
  • Work closely with People, Talent, Finance and other teams to solve problems, challenge existing processes and continuously improve how we operate.

What We're Looking For

  • Genuine, hands-on People Operations experience, with ownership of end-to-end processes, systems and compliance. You'll know what good looks like because you've been responsible for delivering it.
  • Exceptional numeracy and analytical skills. You'll be confident working with complex spreadsheets, calculations and datasets, spotting inconsistencies and using numbers to solve problems and inform decisions. Advanced Excel skills are essential.
  • Proven experience using AI and automation to improve operational processes. We're looking for someone who has personally implemented and embedded improvements, not just someone who's interested in the possibilities.
  • Experience supporting reward and benefits processes, including pay reviews, benchmarking and salary data.
  • The confidence and judgement to work independently, challenge constructively and take ownership in a busy, evolving business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This role probably isn't for you if...

  • Your background is primarily in People Partnering, HR advisory, Talent Acquisition or broader strategic People leadership rather than hands-on People Operations.
  • Numbers and spreadsheets aren't your thing! Data, analysis and complex calculations are a significant part of this role, so you'll need to be confident with them and genuinely enjoy that side of the work.
  • You're interested in AI and automation but haven't yet had the opportunity to put that interest into practice. We're looking for someone who can bring hands-on experience of implementing improvements.
  • You're looking for or are operating at a purely strategic leadership role rather than being directly involved in operational delivery.

A Little More About The Role

You'll report to our People Director and manage our People Operations Specialist, working closely with teams across Goodlord.

This role is based in London, with two days a week in the office (Tuesday is our People Team anchor day) and three days working remotely, with once a month paid travel to our Sheffield and/or Lincoln offices.

If you're someone who loves getting into the detail, can confidently work with complex data and has already demonstrated how technology can transform People Operations, we'd love to hear from you
