People Operations Manager - A not-for-profit organisation in Sheffield
You must live within a commutable distance of Sheffield to be able to attend the office at least 2 days a month.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and highly organised People Operations Manager to oversee and continuously improve the organisation's operational infrastructure, people administration processes, and governance frameworks.
This is a broad and varied role sitting at the centre of the business, responsible for:
- Recruitment administration
- HR operations
- Employer of Record (EOR) administration
- Onboarding and offboarding
- Workforce asset management
- Supplier management
- Training administration
- Compliance reporting
- Organisational KPI coordination
The successful candidate will ensure that operational processes are delivered efficiently, accurately, and consistently across both the organisation and partners, supporting business growth through strong administration, reporting discipline, and process governance.
This role would suit someone with a background in HR Operations, People Operations, Business Operations, or Operational Management who enjoys owning processes, improving systems, and ensuring a high standard of compliance and organisational effectiveness.
We're looking for someone who combines strong operational discipline with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.

Essential Experience
- Experience in Operations, People Operations, HR Operations, or Business Administration.
- Strong HR administration and employee lifecycle knowledge.
- Experience managing multiple administrative processes simultaneously.
- Proven experience maintaining accurate records and reporting.
- Experience working with process governance, compliance, and audit activities.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent organisational and coordination abilities.
- Advanced Microsoft Office and reporting skills.
- Experience using workflow or project management systems.
Desirable Experience
- Experience with Employer of Record (EOR) administration.
- Experience supporting remote or international workforces.
- Experience with ClickUp administration or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of KPI reporting and business intelligence processes.
- Experience managing external suppliers and service providers.
