Frazer Jones is supporting an established organisation in the search for an experienced People Operations Manager to join their team in Bath.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive HR professional who enjoys balancing operational excellence with strategic people initiatives. You'll lead a small team, oversee the day-to-day delivery of people services, and work closely with leaders across the business to ensure a positive and high-performing employee experience.

The Opportunity

As People Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring the people function operates effectively, efficiently, and in line with business objectives. You'll play a key role in supporting managers, developing processes, and driving continuous improvement across the employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and developing a small People team, ensuring excellent service delivery
  • Providing expert guidance and support to managers on employee-related matters
  • Overseeing recruitment activity, from workforce planning through to onboarding
  • Managing employee relations matters and supporting complex casework
  • Driving improvements across people processes, systems, and policies
  • Supporting talent development, performance management, and succession planning initiatives
  • Assisting with organisational change projects and workforce planning activities
  • Supporting compensation, benefits, and benchmarking exercises
  • Ensuring compliance with employment legislation and internal governance requirements
  • Producing and analysing people data to support decision-making and identify trends

About You

We're looking for an experienced HR professional who combines strong operational knowledge with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Previous experience in a People Operations or HR Manager role
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
  • Experience managing employee relations matters from start to finish
  • A track record of improving processes and enhancing service delivery
  • Experience leading, coaching, or developing team members
  • The confidence to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
