What's the opportunity?
This is a broad, hands-on role that combines:
- HR operations and compliance
- Employment law and policy management
- Employee relations support
- Performance and development initiatives
- Learning and training coordination
- Wellbeing and employee experience projects
- Culture and values development
Initially, you'll focus on strengthening HR frameworks, policies and processes, ensuring they are robust, compliant and fit for purpose. As these foundations become established, you'll have the opportunity to drive wider people and culture initiatives that support long-term organisational growth.

You'll play a central role in helping the organisation create an exceptional employee experience by:
- Reviewing and developing HR policies, employee handbooks and people processes
- Supporting managers on employee relations, performance, wellbeing and absence matters
- Ensuring people practices remain compliant with employment legislation and best practice
- Coordinating and improving compliance and workplace learning programmes
- Developing practical tools, guidance and templates for managers
- Supporting performance management and employee development initiatives
- Contributing to culture, engagement and employee experience projects
- Helping turn employee feedback into meaningful actions
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and offboarding activities
- Maintaining accurate people data, skills and capability records
- Establishing effective annual cycles for compliance, reporting and people activities
You'll likely bring:
- Broad UK HR generalist experience
- Strong knowledge of employment law and employee relations
- Experience creating and improving HR policies, procedures and documentation
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
- Excellent written communication and organisational skills
- A passion for employee experience, wellbeing and organisational culture
- Confidence influencing and challenging senior stakeholders constructively
- Experience in performance management and leadership support.

CIPD qualification or equivalent practical experience would be advantageous.
What success looks like
Within your first year, you'll have:
- Strengthened and modernised key HR policies and documentation
- Improved compliance processes and training programmes
- Enhanced performance management frameworks and manager guidance
- Created greater structure around people data and reporting
- Reduced reliance on external HR support
- Contributed to meaningful culture and engagement improvements across the organisation
