Who We Are:

Alpaca is a US-headquartered, global leader in agent-first brokerage infrastructure for stocks, ETFs, options, crypto, fixed income, 24/5 trading, and more.

Amongst our subsidiaries, Alpaca is a licensed financial services company, serving hundreds of financial institutions across 40 countries with our institutional-grade APIs. This includes broker-dealers, investment advisors, wealth managers, hedge funds, and crypto exchanges, totalling over 10 million brokerage accounts.

Our global team is a diverse group of experienced engineers, traders, and brokerage professionals who are working to achieve our mission of opening financial services to everyone on the planet. We're deeply committed to open-source contributions and fostering a vibrant community, continuously enhancing our award-winning, developer-friendly API and the robust infrastructure behind it.

Alpaca is proudly backed by $400 million in funding from top-tier global investors including Portage Ventures, Spark Capital, Tribe Capital, Social Leverage, Horizons Ventures, Opera Tech Ventures, SBI Group, Derayah Financial, Unbound, Peak XV, Elefund, and Y Combinator.

Our Team Members:

We're a dynamic team of 400+ globally distributed members who thrive working from our favorite places around the world, with teammates spanning the USA, Canada, Japan, Hungary, Nigeria, Brazil, the UK, and beyond!

We're searching for passionate individuals eager to contribute to Alpaca's rapid growth. If you align with our core values—Stay Curious, Have Empathy, and Be Accountable—and are ready to make a significant impact, we encourage you to apply.

Your Role:

We're looking for a People Operations Partner to be a reliable, high-touch operator for our global workforce. You'll own the day-to-day People Ops engine such as onboarding, offboarding, employee lifecycle transactions, data quality, and employee support while also stretching into employee relations support and cross-functional People projects as needed.

This is a hands-on, execution-first role: roughly 70% core People Operations and 30% adjacent work (employee relations support, analytics, systems, and special projects). You'll work across regions and time zones, not as a single-region specialist, and you'll help keep our processes consistent, compliant, and human as we scale.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

If you like making operations feel invisible when they work and you're curious about how AI and modern HR systems can take the busywork out of People work this role will fit.

What you'll do

  • Process a high volume of employee lifecycle work such as onboarding, offboarding, transfers, job/comp changes, and related requests. Coordinate cross-functional follow-through so employees and managers get timely, high-quality support.
  • Partner with employees and leaders across regions and time zones. Execute global People processes while navigating local nuances so support feels consistent and locally aware.
  • Provide benefits support where needed, including answering employee questions, helping with enrollments or life event changes, and coordinating with vendors or specialists on more complex issues.
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready employee files and HRIS records. Flag data gaps, process breaks, and compliance risks early, and help keep the People tech stack running smoothly.
  • Triage employee and manager questions on policies, processes, benefits, and systems. Know when to resolve it yourself, when to loop in Benefits/Payroll/Legal/IT, and when to escalate.
  • Handle sensitive situations with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Pull and clean reports from the HRIS and adjacent systems (headcount, starters/leavers, tenure, and other people metrics). Help maintain dashboards and turn raw data into clear, usable summaries for the People team and leadership.
  • Support high-impact People initiatives: HRIS/ATS improvements, workflow redesign, policy rollouts, audit prep, and other cross-functional projects.
  • Look for practical ways to use AI and automation to reduce manual work (FAQs, documentation, reporting, request triage, process mapping) while staying thoughtful about privacy, accuracy, and employee trust.

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through in a high-volume environment
