Everyone wants more human connection but making new friends is really hard. That’s why we exist, with a mission to create one million meaningful friendships across the globe, using the power of travel and technology as a platform for connection.

We are Flash Pack – curated social adventures for solo travellers.

We’re a marketplace, so we actually serve two types of customers: solo travellers and the local partners who bring our adventures to life.

Our business is growing year-on-year and backed by strong investor support. Our culture is down-to-earth, hard-working, and compassionate. We’re lucky to have an exceptional team in terms of talent, and our “no a-holes” policy ensures we’re humble and supportive of each other. Integrity is at the heart of our work—we’re driven to do what’s right and to build a company that makes us genuinely proud.

What you’ll find here

  • A culture built around high performance, high conviction and humility. We value teamwork over grandiosity, great questions over corporate euphemisms and autonomy over conformity
  • An ambitious high growth mid stage start-up with proven product market fit in over 15 global markets. We’re well-capitalised and backed by founders, investors and entrepreneurs who have built multi-billion dollar companies

The Role

We're looking for a People Operations Specialist to own the operational foundations that keep the People team running smoothly, and to help us continually improve how we work. We have a lot of manual, repetitive workflows waiting to be improved, automated and rebuilt, and we're looking for someone who's genuinely excited by AI and automation and defaults to that thinking first - someone whose instinct, when they look at how we do something, is to ask how we can improve this through technology. You'll be the person who spots these processes and reworks them, building exceptional People Ops across the business and in doing so creating a better experience for our people.

The People team is lean - you'll be joining a team of two (the Head of People and Talent and a Senior Talent Partner), so there's a lot of ownership and autonomy in this role to design what good looks like.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This is an initial 6-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to become a permanent role. In line with our salary framework, the salary for this role is £40,000 - £49,000 depending on experience.

This is a remote-flexible role based in the UK. We meet as a team every 6-8 weeks in London, and the rest of the time you can work remotely in-country.

Where you will spend your time

  • Owning the essential processes- full end-to-end ownership of our People Ops BAU - contracts, documentation, system changes, payroll coordination, and everything in between
  • Redesigning systems - taking full ownership of our tech stack (HiBob, Lattice, Team Tailor, Notion, Zinc, DocuSign) so they're accurate, effortless to use and built to scale to enable a high performance culture
  • Automating the busywork - rebuilding manual, repetitive workflows across onboarding, probation and performance reviews using AI and automation
  • Building visibility - creating live and accurate dashboards and reporting that give managers and the Head of People what they need without having to ask for it
  • Running the moments that matter - onboarding and offboarding that feel seamless for new starters and the people around them
  • Experimenting with AI - leading the way we test and adopt AI across the People function, spotting opportunities before anyone has to ask
  • Documenting as you go - building the templates and resources that make our People operations clear, repeatable and easy for anyone to pick up in a remote world

What we’d love to see from you

  • Experience working in a fast-moving startup or scale-up, ideally within a lean People function
  • Genuine hands-on experience with AI tools and automation - you can show us something you've built or streamlined, not just tell us about it
  • Strong operational judgement and real attention to detail, particularly when it comes to data and process accuracy
  • Comfort taking ownership and figuring things out independently — you've worked in a scaling environment and you're comfortable when things aren't fully defined - you know how to deal with ambiguity, and genuinely enjoy that kind of environment
  • Curiosity and a bias to action - when you spot something manual or repetitive, you're already thinking about how to fix it and putting a plan in place
  • A genuine interest in People, not just the systems and process side. The work we do exists to make the experience of our People better and that should be at the core of everything you do
  • You are pragmatic and can decide when something needs a proper long-term fix versus a quick, sensible one today
  • You have experience working in or with remote or distributed teams and you understand what good looks like in a remote world with asynchronous touch points and workflows
