Job Description

This hybrid role offers a great balance of home and office working. You’ll join your colleagues in your local office at least two days a week.

As the UK’s largest independent full fibre network and wholesale platform of choice, we’re busy setting new standards for what digital infrastructure can and should be.

Our network is greener, more reliable and designed for the future. The products we run over it lead the way on speed, value and service - helping businesses to innovate, communities to thrive, and people to live more connected digital lives.

At CityFibre, you’ll be part of something bigger, helping to build a better-connected Britain, together.

Joining us as a People Operations Specialist

You’ll join our People Operations team at an exciting point in its development, combining hands-on support across the employee lifecycle with a strong focus on improving how we work. As we introduce greater automation and make better use of our People technology, you’ll help simplify processes, improve workflows and create a better experience for employees and managers. We’re looking for someone who is naturally curious, comfortable questioning existing ways of working and keen to turn ideas into practical improvements.

You’ll receive a competitive salary, a performance-related bonus, and a range of benefits to support you across your financial, physical, and mental wellbeing.

This is some of what you can expect to be doing:

  • Owning People Operations activity across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contractual changes, offboarding, employee records, and People data
  • Providing a responsive and high-quality service to employees and managers, resolving queries and operational issues
  • Identifying recurring problems and opportunities to simplify, improve, or redesign People processes and workflows
  • Using People systems, automation, and digital tools to reduce manual activity and improve the employee and manager experience
  • Supporting the design, testing, and adoption of system improvements and new ways of working
  • Working across People, Payroll, Finance, and Technology to deliver improvements and ensure processes remain accurate, effective, and compliant

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
