Anderson Knight Recruitment is partnering with a respected organisation to appoint an experienced People Partner. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded HR professional to join a progressive business where people are at the heart of its success.

Location

This position is based in South Lanarkshire, with travel to different sites within Scotland, as required. A driving licence and access to a vehicle will be essential for this role. The business operates a hybrid working model with typically 3-4 days per week in the office and 1-2 days working from home per week.

The Opportunity

As a People Partner, you will build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and management teams, helping to shape a positive and high-performing culture. You'll play a key role in guiding leaders through complex people matters, implementing strategic initiatives, and ensuring best practice is embedded throughout the employee journey.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Partnering with operational and senior leaders to align people priorities with broader business objectives.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on employee relations matters, helping managers effectively navigate complex situations.
  • Supporting workforce planning, talent attraction and retention strategies to ensure the business continues to secure and develop top talent.
  • Driving engagement, wellbeing and development initiatives that enhance the overall colleague experience.
  • Leading and contributing to people-focused projects, continuous improvement initiatives and policy development activities.
  • Using people analytics and workforce insights to identify trends, inform decision-making and support business performance.
  • Supporting organisational change and transformation activity while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
  • Developing management capability through coaching, mentoring and practical guidance.
  • Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to deliver effective and commercially focused people solutions.
  • Supporting specialist employment-related matters including TUPE transfers and IR35 assessments where required.

About You

We are keen to speak with experienced people professionals who can combine strong technical expertise with exceptional stakeholder management skills.

  • Previous experience working in a People Partner, HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and contemporary people practices.
  • Demonstrable experience managing a wide range of employee relations issues.
  • The confidence and credibility to influence, support and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and coaching skills.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience using people data to inform decision-making.
  • Experience supporting change programmes within a fast-paced business environment.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent professional experience.

Desirable Experience

  • Knowledge and practical experience of TUPE regulations.
  • Familiarity with IR35 legislation and associated assessments.
  • Experience working within a unionised environment.
