Job Description

Your Role: People Partner

As a People Partner, you’ll be a hands-on collaborator, supporting employees and managers across your business areas. You’ll provide practical guidance on people policies, employee relations and key people initiatives, helping to create a positive, inclusive and high-performing workplace.

Working with the Head of People, People Director and/or Senior or Lead People Partner in your team, you’ll help deliver people plans that support business priorities and a consistent, seamless experience for Globallers.

As a People Partner at Global, you will:

Key Responsibilities

  • Employee relations and policy advice (40%)
    Act as a first point of contact for employees and managers on people matters. Provide clear, consistent guidance on people policies and procedures, supporting the effective resolution of employee relations cases.
  • Manager support and people initiatives (35%)
    Coach managers on performance management, people processes and day-to-day team matters. Support the delivery of initiatives that strengthen culture, engagement, talent and the employee experience.
  • People insight and collaboration (25%)
    Use people data and metrics to support decision-making, identify trends and help shape practical actions. Work closely with People Operations to share insight and improve policies, templates and toolkits.

What Success Looks Like

In your first few months, you’ll have:

  • Built trusted relationships with Globallers and managers across your business areas.
  • Developed a strong understanding of Global’s people policies, processes, systems and ways of working.
  • Provided timely, practical support on a range of people matters, including employee relations and performance management.
  • Used people metrics to provide useful insight into areas such as turnover and engagement.
  • Worked collaboratively with People Operations to strengthen people resources and support consistent processes.

What You’ll Need

  • People partnering experience
    Experience as a People Partner or an experienced People Advisor, with exposure to employee relations, the employee lifecycle, talent and culture.
  • Business and commercial awareness
    Ability to understand business objectives and tailor people support to a fast-paced, commercially focused environment.
  • Delivery focus
    A practical, organised approach to managing priorities, implementing change and improving processes without adding unnecessary complexity.
  • Relationship-building and influence
    Ability to develop effective working relationships with managers and colleagues, building confidence and influencing positively.
  • Communication skills
    A clear, credible and thoughtful communication style, able to engage people at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset
    Confidence using people data and metrics to identify themes, understand root causes and support short-, medium- and long-term people plans.
