What You’ll Be Doing
In this busy and exciting role, you will work in partnership with senior leaders and line managers to deliver the People Plan, providing pragmatic HR support, driving engagement, strengthening leadership capability, and ensuring effective people processes that support business performance.

Role Accountabilities
- Partner with leaders to diagnose people challenges, recommend solutions, and support the delivery of agreed actions
- Provide expert guidance on:
- Employee relations
- Attendance management
- Complex people matters
- Support ethical compliance activities, including:
- SEDEX audits
- Modern slavery requirements
- Internal audit readiness
- Produce and analyse people data and reports to support leadership decision-making
- Collaborate with Centres of Expertise across:
- HR operations
- Payroll
- Reward
- Talent acquisition
- Learning
- Drive engagement initiatives and employee voice activity, including the delivery of annual engagement survey action plans
- Build effective relationships with:
- Unions
- Employee forums
- Wellbeing champions
- Temporary labour providers
- Support reward processes, including:
- Pay reviews
- Accurate HR system implementation
- Strengthen:
- Workforce planning
- Talent pipelines for hourly paid and salaried roles
- Coach and develop managers to build capability, support organisational change, and deliver performance and succession processes
Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
- Have proven ability to:
- Build relationships
- Influence and challenge stakeholders effectively
- Possess a strong understanding of business priorities and how HR drives performance outcomes
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt approaches for various audiences
- Show a proactive, pragmatic, and solutions-focused mindset
- Be able to work to tight timescales in a fast-paced environment
- Have strong analytical capabilities, including experience with:
- Extracting and presenting people data
- Delivering HR or people-focused projects end-to-end
- Exhibit strong organisational skills with:
- Excellent prioritisation
- Effective time management
- Exercise sound judgement to:
- Assess risk
- Escalate appropriately
- Hold high integrity and passion for inclusion, as well as championing a positive culture
