Location: Selly Oak & Erdington, Birmingham (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £44,000 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to join a values-led healthcare charity as a People Partner. This role offers the chance to support managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle while contributing to strategic people initiatives that make a real difference.

The Role

Reporting into the People team, you will provide expert HR advice, coaching and guidance to managers across a broad range of people matters. You will take ownership of employee relations cases, support organisational change programmes and help embed HR best practice across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional HR support and coaching to managers.
  • Manage employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance and absence matters.
  • Support restructures, organisational change and change management initiatives.
  • Develop and review HR policies and procedures in line with employment legislation.
  • Advise on sickness absence management, occupational health referrals and return-to-work plans.
  • Analyse HR data and provide insights and recommendations.
  • Support employee wellbeing and engagement initiatives.
  • Conduct exit interviews and identify trends for improvement.
  • Facilitate informal resolution and mediation discussions where required.
  • Deliver training and workshops to managers and employees.
  • Support recruitment activity and wider People projects.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the People Strategy.

Requirements

Essential

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a generalist HR or People Partner role.
  • Strong employee relations background.
  • Experience supporting organisational change.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience developing HR policies and procedures.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Coaching approach to supporting managers.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills.

Desirable

  • CIPD Level 7 qualification.
  • Coaching qualification.
  • Experience delivering training programmes.
  • Mediation or conflict resolution experience.
  • Experience using HRIS and reporting systems.
