About Us
We are a fast-growing, well-established facilities management company providing services across an impressive portfolio of buildings throughout London and the South East. We are looking for a proactive and organised People Partner to join our team and support the effective delivery of HR services across the business, fully backed by our People First team within Eight Group. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking to develop their career within a supportive and growing organisation.
The Role
As People Partner, you will support the full employee lifecycle, acting as a trusted point of contact for managers and employees while ensuring the efficient administration of HR processes and the accurate maintenance of employee records. You will bring previous experience across the full range of generalist HR activity, building credible working relationships across the business and delivering a professional, confidential, and customer-focused HR service.
Business Partnering
- Build strong, credible working relationships with managers and employees across the business.
- Act as a first point of contact for day-to-day HR queries and provide practical, professional advice.
- Support managers with people processes, helping them apply policy consistently and confidently.

Recruitment and Onboarding
- Assist with recruitment activities, including screening applications, arranging interviews, and liaising with candidates.
- Prepare and issue offer letters, employment contracts, and onboarding documentation.
- Coordinate new starter inductions and ensure all pre-employment checks are completed.
- Manage the administration of employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
Employee Records and HR Administration
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Update and manage the HR database.
- Process changes to employee contracts, job titles, salaries, and working arrangements.
- Respond to day-to-day HR queries from employees and managers.
Payroll and Absence Management
- Record and monitor annual leave, sickness absence, and other employee leave requests.
- Ensure absence records are maintained accurately and in accordance with company policies.
- Review all staff overtime claims monthly and process hourly-rate staff timesheets.
- Manage agency timesheets on a weekly basis.
Benefits Administration
- Assist with the administration of employee benefits, including pensions, private healthcare, and life assurance.
- Support the enrolment, amendment, and renewal processes for company benefit schemes.
- Act as a point of contact for employee benefits queries.
- Maintain accurate records relating to employee benefits and entitlements.
- Support the administration of annual salary review processes and maintain associated documentation.

Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure HR procedures comply with current employment legislation and company policies.
- Maintain right-to-work documentation and support compliance activities.
- Produce regular HR reports and management information.
- Support HR audits and record-keeping requirements.
- Handle confidential employee information with discretion and professionalism.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a People Partner, HR Advisor, HR Administrator, or similar HR support role.
- Good knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Experience creating and maintaining HR systems and employee records.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage managers and employees at all levels.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to deadlines.
- Based in or able to commute to London/South East.
