Who are we?

Kato is a fast-growing PropTech company, backed by top-tier VCs, investors, and industry experts. Our mission is to revolutionise commercial property through our all-in-one online platform and extensive industry data. We’re just getting started and are seeking dynamic, confident individuals to join our journey and help shape the future of commercial property.

Role overview

To own and define what great HR looks like at Kato. Partnering with the business to lead the people function; including employee relations, policy and process, and talent attraction and management - while acting as a trusted operator to the senior and executive team during our scaling journey.

Responsibilities

Business partnering

  • Act as the trusted HR partner, working directly with line managers across the business on performance, conduct, capability and team dynamics.
  • Provide employee relations support through the full employee lifecycle, ensuring consistency and compliance across the business.
  • Coach managers to support employees, handle people issues, building line-manager capability and skillset.

Defining HR at Kato

  • Set the HR strategy, principles for Kato. You will be establishing what “HR brilliance” means in practice for the business and our stage of growth.
  • Review or design, document and roll out core policies, processes and handbooks.
  • Own the people-related elements of engagement and culture, including pulse surveys, listening groups and manager forums.
  • Owning the HR systems, data and reporting Kato needs.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience

  • Experience with talent attraction and workforce planning in a growing or change-oriented business.
  • Resilient, discreet and calm under pressure.

Compensation and benefits

We’re asking a lot of you, so it’s only fair that we give something back:
