People Partner x 2

Band F – Swindon, Newport, Stockton-on-Tees / Hybrid
12 month Fixed Term Contract

It’s an exciting time to join UKSBS as we transform our business to be the leading UK public sector business service provider. We aim to become a very different organisation over the next few years as we move to a modern multi-platform, digitally enabled organisation.

About the People Transformation Team

The People team plays a critical role in enabling UKSBS to deliver its strategic ambitions. We support the organisation through large-scale change, ensuring our people, structures and capabilities are aligned to future needs. This includes driving workforce planning, organisational design, skills and talent strategies, and embedding inclusive, engaging ways of working.

About the Role

This role sits within the People Team reporting to the People Transformation Lead and working closely with the HR Director to lead the people workstreams within our transformation programme.

As People Partner you will be responsible for both the strategic and tactical delivery of people transformation activity. You will translate high-level transformation objectives into clear, deliverable packages of work, acting as a specialist lead across workforce planning, organisational design, and skills and talent initiatives. You will also operate as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing evidence-based insight to support effective decision-making and sustainable change.

A key part of the role is ensuring that transformation activity, once implemented, is fully embedded into the People Team’s core processes and ways of working. Equally critical is the active role you will play in building and sustaining long terms capability within the People Team equipping colleagues with the knowledge, tools and confidence to own and evolve this work beyond the life of the programme.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
