The Role Outline: Your Week at a Glance
As our Regional People Partner (covering the North West), you are the commercial and cultural anchor for approximately eight properties. This is a true hybrid role requiring you to manage complex Employee Relations remotely, while also hitting the road, staying overnight, and looking your General Managers in the eye to drive genuine engagement, challenge their assumptions, and implement change that actually sticks.
Why Village?
At Village, we do hospitality a little differently. We are all about personality, genuine connections, and creating great experiences for our guests and each other. That is why we back our teams to be themselves, take ownership, learn new skills, and grow their careers. Previous experience is great, but your attitude and energy matter much more to us. If you are friendly, positive, love working with people, and enjoy being part of a busy team, we will give you all the support, training, and opportunities you need. Because it really does take a Village.
How the Village Thrives
We live our culture through four simple commitments:
- We Can & We Do: We show up to make a genuine difference and do fantastic work everyday, with purpose.
- We Will: Treat each other with respect and dignity. No ego, no drama. We try our best and look out for each other.
- We Care: We care about our impact on guests, the community, and each other.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Your Territory: What You Will Actually Be Doing
As our Regional People Partner, you are the engine of our people strategy. We trust you to handle:
- The Road Warrior Reality: Managing a region of eight hotels. You will balance home working with vital on-site visits (minimum one visit per hotel each month), requiring regular overnight stays to truly understand the pulse of your locations.
- The Strategic Coach: Acting as the ultimate commercial partner to your General Managers. You will navigate their operational defensiveness to proactively drive employee satisfaction, retention, and succession planning without simply telling them what they want to hear.
- The ER Expert: Taking absolute ownership of complex Employee Relations. You will use your CIPD Level 5 and sharp employment law knowledge to provide impartial, pragmatic advice that protects both the business and our people.
- The Culture Driver: Implementing change that adds actual value. You will move past transactional HR to ensure our recruitment, reward, and learning strategies are living and breathing on the hotel floor.
How We Succeed Together
We do not micromanage. It takes a village, so we believe in Ownership & Integrity, giving you the autonomy to handle your region and make decisions on the fly. We Empower & Elevate our people. If you want Room to Grow, we provide funded qualifications and internal moves. We constantly Innovate & Progress so we can Inspire Excellence and smash our targets together.
