The Role
As People Partner for Tax, you will help shape and deliver the people agenda for our Tax Service Line across 4 sites, with ambitious organic and inorganic growth plans. This is a high-impact role where you’ll have the opportunity to influence senior stakeholders, lead meaningful people initiatives and help shape the future of a fast-growing professional services business. You will help build capability, strengthen culture and support growth in a fast moving, private equity backed environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service line People Plan: Partner with Tax Leadership to set priorities, design solutions and deliver outcomes end-to-end, aligned to our organisational people strategy.
- Performance development: Embed a modern, growth-oriented approach to performance, focusing on development, feedback and quality conversations.
- Career pathways: Collaborate with the business and Talent and Learning team to develop and embed career pathways aligned to our behavioural framework to support our people in their career progression at Gravita.
- People Calendar: Manage the annual performance, promotion and reward cycle for the service line, managing spend to budget and ensuring high standards are maintained.
- Manager & leadership capability: Build capability through coaching and targeted interventions, working with the wider People team to inform the learning offering.
- Talent & retention: Lead talent discussions with senior leaders, including succession planning and retention mapping; holds accountability for attrition data and action planning; builds out hiring plans, working with the Talent Acquisition team to enable growth.
- Engagement: Diagnose themes and create tailored engagement plans that address root causes and create an environment where people can do their best work.
- Employee relations: Provide guidance, support and business context to the Employee Relations function in handling case load; where needed manage complex or escalated cases directly.
- Compliance: Work closely with Tax leadership and Compliance so people practices support regulatory requirements.
- People projects: Lead people initiatives that shape the wider organisation. As part of a fast growing organisation, you have the opportunity to be involved in shaping our broader strategy.
- Change leadership: Drive and support change and transformation initiatives, including supporting M&A integration activity.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:
- You’re an experienced strategic People Partner with a strong track record of delivering people strategy and measurable outcomes.
- You have experience partnering with senior stakeholders and understand the importance of regulation, compliance and quality in a professional services environment.
- You’re data-driven and future-focused, with the ability to turn insight into action, test and iterate quickly, and scale what works.
- You’re a credible influencer and challenger, comfortable coaching senior leaders, landing difficult messages and holding the line on standards.
- You can lead cross-functional programmes from design through to adoption, bringing structure, pace and clarity.
- You’re highly collaborative, involving peers and stakeholders to build practical solutions that work for the business.
- You’re comfortable operating autonomously, using sound judgement while joining the dots across priorities.
- You thrive in a fast-moving environment and can balance multiple priorities while keeping focused on outcomes.

- Our standard working week is a 37.5-hour week on a hybrid basis.
- Core working hours are 10am - 4pm Monday to Friday.
