Duration: Temporary whilst recruiting permanently (Salary £42,000)
Senior HR Advisor / HR Business Partner
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to join a values-led organisation as a Senior HR Advisor / HR Business Partner. Reporting into senior leadership, you will provide both strategic and operational HR support, helping to drive employee engagement, organisational performance and positive cultural change.
This is a broad generalist role, offering the opportunity to partner with managers across the organisation whilst leading and developing a small People team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the People team, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, customer-focused HR service.
- Partner with managers on workforce planning, talent development, succession planning and organisational design.
- Provide expert advice across the full employee lifecycle, supporting managers to resolve people matters effectively and compliantly.
- Manage complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, capability and organisational change matters.
- Support TUPE transfers, restructures and consultation processes.
- Coach and challenge leaders to strengthen people management capability and create high-performing teams.
- Oversee recruitment and onboarding activities, promoting inclusive hiring practices and a positive candidate experience.
- Drive continuous improvement across HR policies, processes and systems.
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders and act as a credible HR advisor across the business.
- Keep abreast of employment law developments and HR best practice, translating this into practical organisational solutions.

About You
You will be an experienced HR professional with strong generalist knowledge and a track record of partnering with managers to deliver effective people solutions. You will be confident handling complex employee relations matters, leading change initiatives and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a Senior HR Advisor, HR Business Partner, People Partner or similar role.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Experience managing complex employee relations cases.
- Knowledge of TUPE, organisational change and consultation processes.
- Proven ability to coach and influence managers.
- Previous team leadership or line management experience.
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent experience).
- Strong communication, organisational and relationship-building skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
