Interim People Services Administrator (12 Month FTC - Maternity Cover)
Join a well-established and forward-thinking organisation as an Interim People Services Administrator. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and customer-focused HR professional to join a busy People team, providing high-quality administrative support across the full employee lifecycle.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover), working 37 hours per week.
The Role
As a People Services Administrator, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the People function. You'll provide professional administrative support across recruitment, onboarding, payroll, employee records, learning and development, and general HR administration, delivering an excellent service to managers and employees alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact for People-related enquiries, providing a professional and efficient service.
- Provide end-to-end HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, contractual changes and leavers.
- Coordinate recruitment administration, ensuring a smooth and compliant hiring process.
- Manage new starter administration, including contracts, references, DBS checks and system updates.
- Prepare accurate payroll information and support the monthly payroll process.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, ensuring GDPR compliance.
- Support learning and development activities and wider People projects.
- Assist with payroll administration and other HR processes as required.
- Provide administrative and diary management support to senior members of the People team when needed.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, equality, health & safety and data protection policies.

About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced HR environment and has excellent organisational and communication skills.
You'll Ideally Have
- Experience working within an HR/People Services environment.
- CIPD Level 3 qualification (or be working towards it).
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- The ability to build effective relationships with colleagues at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- The ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- A proactive, flexible and solution-focused approach.
