About the People Team and the Role
The People Team manage the full employment lifecycle within THG, from candidate attraction and onboarding, through to learning & development and employee relations.
Reporting to the People Business Partner, the People Services Assistant is responsible for the smooth running of the People Shared Services function within THG. In addition to providing a world-class administrative service to the People Team, the post holder will also provide assistance with the maintenance of THG’s HR system and advice to line managers on people processes.
As a People Services Assistant you will:
- Collate all relevant new starter documents ensuring internal and legal compliance.
- Support with new starter induction process.
- Maintaining electronic personnel files.
- Ensuring probations are completed and reported.
- Assist stakeholders of various levels with assistance and advice on HR processes and procedure.
- Ensuring leaver process is followed by managers.
- Ensuring that leavers are logged accurately in the HR system for accurate recording and payroll purposes.
- Completing confirmation of resignation letters as necessary.
- Raising change of term letters, ensure all information is accurate.
- Accurately update the system to reflect changes within the relevant information.
- Make certain that managers are following the correct sign off procedure prior to any change of terms being processed or completed.
- Regularly auditing that documents are received back signed by the employee and placed in the personnel file.
- Processing all requests for contracts submitted via the Talent team as per sign off process.
- Ensuring that contracts are delivered and signed via the DocuSign portal for accurate recording purposes.
- Understanding the variety of templates used for various countries, departments, job roles and Acquisitions.
- Ensure all data has been added accurately, across all teams.
- Supporting the Team Leader with processing International payroll information/data on weekly basis.
- Work closely with our stakeholders in our International locations.
- Inputting new starters into the system with 100% accuracy.
- Updating reporting lines to ensure organizational structure is accurate.

What skills and experience do I need for this role?
- Experience of working effectively within a team environment.
- Providing guidance and clarification to Managers and employees on a wide range of administrative processes.
- Used to balancing a range of priorities and delivering to deadlines.
- Handling complex queries, analyzing information and problem solving.
- General competent IT skills such as Microsoft Office suite.
- HRIS experience (Frontier Software)
- Knowledge of HR and/or payroll processes and procedures
